biography.
Dominik Gershkovich (2004) is a pianist and composer from Leipzig whose music combines classical structure with spontaneous improvisation.
After receiving classical piano training, he increasingly turned to jazz, groove, and pop.
Since 2023, he has been studying jazz piano at the HMT Leipzig under Michael Wollny and Frank Chastenier. As a member of the Bundesjazzorchester (BuJazzO), co-founder of the Independent Trio, and leader of his own ensembles, including the Gershkovich Trio and Quintet, he moves between modern jazz, funk, and free improvisation. He views his music as a narrative, emotional space.
